Chelsea hammered Swedish side Malmo 4-0 in a Champions League clash played at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

The Blues went into the match hoping to bounce back to winning ways, having lost to Juventus last time out.

Andreas Christensen gave Thomas Tuchel’s side the lead with his first goal in a Chelsea shirt before Jorginho made it 2-0 from the spot after Romelu Lukaku was brought down inside the box.

Kai Havertz and another Jorginho penalty sealed the win, which saw the Blues move second with six points, three behind Juventus, who narrowly won 1-0 away at Zenit Saintbitsburg.

The Blues though suffered injury scares, with both Lukaku and Timo Werner substituted in the first half.

Chelsea were the better team through the match, threatening inside the opening five minutes.

Werner wasted a glorious opportunity to give his side the opener in the eighth minute as he mistimed a good Lukaku cross.

They however took the lead in the 10th minute when Thiago Silva sent a precise lofted cross into the box, finding Christensen who finished with a quick shot inside the right post.

Chelsea were given a chance to score from the spot in the 18th minute when Lasse Nielsen committed a foul inside the box, and Jorginho easily beat the goalie.

The Blues led 2-0 going into the break and picked the second half where they left the first.

Callum Hudson-Odoi found himself with the ball at his feet in space after a lightning counterattack, and neatly slid the ball Havertz, who coolly slotted it past the keeper from close in.

They won yet another penalty just before the hour mark when Eric Larsson committed another foul inside the box, and Jorginho dutifully scored for a 4-0 lead.

The visitors could not find an answer to any of the goals and left London with neither a point nor a goal.

They currently sit at the bottom of their group with no point after three rounds of games.
