Gary Neville is super passionate, isn’t he? The former Manchester United defender believes Romelu Lukaku s controversial interview was nothing but admirable bravery.
As Futaa reported last week, Lukaku gave an interview for the ages last Sunday on Sky Italia. The Belgian simply detailed his unhappiness at Chelsea as well as undying love and yearning to return to Inter Milan.
His manager Thomas Tuchel then decided to drop the striker from the squad completely/
Many former players slammed Lukaku for the comments, but not Gary Neville.
“We have to applaud Romelu Lukaku in some ways for being brave enough, or whatever you would call it, to come out and speak the truth,” he said via Sky.
“I’ve called for players to be more authentic, to be more honest.
“He is experienced. We have to imagine he knows those words will travel back and the impact those words would have,” he concluded.
Up next for him and Chelsea is Carabao Cup semi-final action against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.
